Optishake’s founding story

Optishake was conceived from our founders, Riku’s and Joonas’, frustration of the need to buy, store, organise, plan, divide, and carry around all the optimal functional drink powders that a serious gym goer needs. Yeah, there were pre-made single drinks available, but the cost and waste were unappealing.  

They came up with an idea about one machine that could create the optimal drink before, during, and after training. After some research and understanding that this solution doesn’t exist, Riku and Joonas decided to build it themselves. 

The first prototype worked like a wonder, so the next step was to commercialise the opportunity. The first pilot gyms were quickly acquired and Optishake was born. The first gyms are still customers, and over 150 gyms in 3 countries have joined them along the way.
